If you want to volunteer on the campus and will be with students you must have a completed background check on file, signed a confidentiality agreement and watched the SafeSchools training. It aides us in providing unique field trips and educational experiences for our scholars. Ultimately, your generous donation is essential to continuing our building of an excellent educational experience for young scholars.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated and, because of our non-profit status, is tax deductible.
Primarily recruiting family members and friends of our 6th grade scholars – though others are welcome! The “Hot Lunch” program is a fundraiser dedicated to the 6th Grade Class and toward covering the cost of Outdoor School. Lunches cost $3. There are some students who cannot afford this. If you would like to donate $3 to provide lunch for another student please let us know. Ms. Severson will make sure the money goes to students in need. Since the 6th Grade class directly benefits from this fundraiser, it is essential the families of 6th graders step up to help. The average cost of outdoor camp is $250, because of this program, the cost to each family will hopefully be substantially less, but the Fundraiser can’t be run without you! There are ways to contribute to this program other than being here at the school but your involvement is critical. Call the office for more information.
A lot of folks use Amazon for online shopping, but you may not be aware of their “smile” program – an opportunity to make a donation to your favorite non-profit with each and every purchase!. It doesn’t cost you anything, but is a service within Amazon. Sign in at smile.amazon.com, select “Change your Charity” in “Your Account,” and select RPA from the charitable organizations list. The school uses Amazon often for book and supply orders. We appreciate your support of this program. If you would like additional information about this program, this link will help!
This is an ongoing fundraiser – and very simple! Check out CFK eCycling for lists of what can be recycled and benefit Renaissance! Waste Management’s eCycling program currently processes 21 million pounds of e-scrap annually; keeping nearly 500,000 monitors, CPUs and hard drives out of landfills. CFK eCycling – Vicki Helmig is coordinating this fundraising opportunity. There is a box in the office for any of the items purposed for CFK.
RPA actively promotes and participates in “Labels for Education” and the “Box Tops for Education” programs. Look for these logos on products as you shop! You will likely be surprised how often you will see them – and on what type of products!
By clicking on the logo/photo, you can visit their website and help make a difference for RPA! Send in your coupons and clippings often as they are gathered and prepared frequently toward the next opportunity to submit them for our school’s credit! Baggies or large envelopes are great for sending them into the office! Please be sure to include a note that provides us with your student’s name and grade. We’d like to keep track of how many of our families actually participate! It will be very helpful if you take a few moments and trim labels down to the actual “label” as compared to the entire box lid or soup can label!
Any questions regarding the labels program may be directed to Angie Prasad.
Note regarding “escrip”: Since the second year for RPA, we have been associated with the “escrip” program that created a donation to RPA with purchases at Safeway. Individuals could sign up on-line, shop at any Safeway and a small percentage of your ‘bill’ was donated by Safeway to RPA. As of August 1, 2015, it is no longer available through Safeway or Von’s. As those are the only current associate businesses in our area, the links have been removed from this site
The first Annual Charter School Appeal letters began being mailed to area businesses in early July! This first mailing had at least two purposes. Number One: Informing a large cross-section of our communities that we are here as An Option and An Opportunity for area families. And, Number Two: requesting donations/financial support in any amount. We are registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, making donations eligible for use as deductions when it comes time for tax preparation. A “Donate” Button has been added on our website (at the bottom of the main page and at the top of this page – and will streamline donations through an RPA “PayPal” account. This opportunity is open year around. Should you or someone you know be considering making a donation at any time, feel free to refer them to that “clickable” link. The system allows for individual or scheduled donations. Some may opt to schedule monthly donations. All funds received via the link become part of the “General Fund” which can be used to fill any need for the school.
As of the middle of August, the appeal letters had been mailed to a large number of businesses in:
October 23rd and 24th – One of our seniors, Cole DeRisio, is working toward his Eagle Scout rank and his project is committed to the Marson Court Building. Please join him on October 23 & 24 as he cleans and prepares the building. Anyone is encouraged to help – while we also emphasize the opportunity for RPA high school scholars to complete some of their community service hours! The facility is located in Molalla, off of Ross Street at 209 Marson Court. If you are interested in learning more about the Eagle Scout program, this link will be helpful.
