Mata Kimmel has been with RPA since it’s initial charter year (2010). She has lived in Clackamas County since childhood. Ms. Kimmel home-schooled her two children following the classical model of education. They were ready for college at a surprisingly early age. Since her kids were too young to attend Clackamas Community College on their own, she and her husband decided she would accompany them to school, not as a chaperone, but as a student! Peg Moore started her teaching career in 1973. She taught at Redland and five different schools for Molalla River. She seemed to always teach multi-level classes. In fact, her first year teaching at Maple Grove (the site of the RPA campus), she had five grades (4th-8th) all in one room. Both her now grown children attended Maple Grove, so she has always had a soft spot for our little school. In her retired life she enjoys caring for her chickens and gardens. Chuck Wilcken grew up in Colton and enjoyed playing sports. He graduated in the top 40 of his class at Colton High School (a class of 38). After one year at Brigham Young University, he served two years as a missionary in Central America. Upon his return to BYU, he majored in mathematics education with a minor in Spanish. He taught in southern Oregon for two years and then spent time in the school of “hard knocks” learning about the real world. Chuck returned to teaching in 1994 at Molalla High School.
